Marc Fineberg, M.D., Williamsville North High School, Class of 1985  (Inducted 2017)

Dr. Fineberg is an Associate Clinical Professor of Orthopaedic Surgery and Chief of Sports Medicine at the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Biomedical Sciences in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery. He serves as Team Physician for the Buffalo Bills, Buffalo Sabres and the UB Bulls.

Dr Fineberg received his undergraduate degree in Biology from Syracuse University and his medical degree at Northwestern University. He did his orthopaedic residency at New York University and a sports medicine fellowship at Harvard University/Massachusetts General Hospital.

He maintains a busy clinical practice specializing in arthroscopic and other minimally invasive techniques for repair and reconstruction of major tendon and ligaments of the shoulder, knee, elbow and ankle. He has published several articles and gives frequent presentations related to his specific areas of interest. He is an active member of a number of professional organizations including the National Football League and National Hockey League Team Physicians Societies, the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine, and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Dr Fineberg enjoys mentoring orthopaedic residents and fellows, medical and college students, physician asistants, physical therapists, athletic trainers and many others interested in pursuing a career related to orthopaedic sports medicine.  He has been honored annually as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor in Western New York and Buffalo Business First Health Care Champion in 2016. Dr. Fineberg resides in Williamsville with his wife Stacy and three children Justin, Sydney and Ethan.
