Sean P. Galliher, Esq., Williamsville North High School, Class of 1977
Sean Galliher is the associate general counsel for Skechers USA, Inc., a 3.56-billion-dollar performance and lifestyle footwear company headquartered in Manhattan Beach, CA. As in-house counsel, Mr. Galliher handles all aspects of day-to-day legal activities for the global organization including international law, employment law, insurance and litigation. He is also a member of the Skechers Foundation Board of Directors, the charitable arm of the corporation.
After graduating from Williamsville North, Mr. Galliher joined the U.S. Navy and trained at the Fleet Marine Corps School at Camp Lejeune, NC serving as a Hospital Corpsman, First Class. Following his military service, he earned a bachelor’s degree from SUNY Albany and a law degree from the University at Buffalo Law School. As a law student, he interned for the Counsel to New York Governor Mario Cuomo.
Mr. Galliher began his legal career as a trial attorney and partner in a small firm, Krenzer and Galliher, PC. He joined the Buffalo firm of Lipsitz, Green, Scime & Cambria in 2006 and was assigned to work with Flynt Publications and Larry Flynt, a high-profile client in California that provided his first experience working in a business environment. After a year of cross-country travel, he joined Skechers and relocated to the West Coast. To better navigate the challenges posed by a global business model, he pursued a master’s degree in International Business Law from the Boston University Executive LLM Program, receiving his degree in 2016. Mr. Galliher is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in London, England and was admitted to the Bar of the U.S. Supreme Court in 2017.
In addition to his community service work with the Skechers Foundation, Mr. Galliher volunteers for Club Dust, a faith-based organization that builds homes for impoverished families living in Mexican border towns, and BrittiCares International Holiday Smiles program volunteering at the Children’s Hospital of Los Angeles. He and his wife, Marcy, who is also a 1977 Williamsville North graduate, reside in Hemosa Beach, CA.
