Samuel J. Savarino (1976) is President and Chief Executive Officer of Savarino Companies. Since it was formed in January 2001, Savarino Companies has grown to be one of Western New York's leading general contracting, construction management and development firms. He is also the managing member of an affiliate company, TSC Construction, LLC which provides full services for infrastructure and tower construction to the wireless telecommunications industry throughout the eastern United States.
Prior to forming Savarino Companies, Sam served as Chief Executive Officer at ADF Construction Corp. of Amherst, NY. Under his leadership, ADF successfully completed many landmark projects throughout Western New York including the renovation of Ralph Wilson Stadium for the Buffalo Bills. Sam was a member of East High School’s first graduating class and is remembered as being a quiet and thoughtful student. He is a 1982 graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo and was a member of the Leadership Buffalo Class of 1995.
Mr. Savarino is active in many civic and non-profit organizations, currently serving as a director, trustee, or officer on eight different community boards. He is also a Regent Emeritus of Canisius College and a Member of the Board of Advisors for The State University of New York at Buffalo Center for the Arts. Sam and his wife, Anne, have chaired numerous charitable events and in 2005 and 2006, served as Co-Chairs of the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County Community Campaigns.
Sam has received numerous awards for his community involvement and humanitarian efforts. He was named Philanthropist of the Year in 2003 by the National Society of Fund Raising Executives and in 2005, was honored by the National Football League and the Buffalo Bills for his extraordinary volunteer efforts benefitting the Western New York Community.
