Craig Schorr (‘86)—Craig Schorr juggles dual careers that have taken him around the world, from high-rise boardrooms to leagues under the sea. As a senior associate of AlixPartners, LLC, Schorr works as an international strategy consultant and financial services manager leading post-merger integration and turnaround projects for global companies.
Prior to joining AlixPartners, Schorr was a project leader for The Boston Consulting Group (BCG) in their Boston and Zürich, Switzerland offices, and a senior consultant at the Bank of Hawaii. As an officer in the Naval Reserve, he heads a submarine support facility with four officers and 45 enlisted men under his command. Schorr served in the United States Navy as an officer and submariner, graduating first in his class from the Naval Nuclear Power School and first in the Submarine Officers Course. He was assigned to the nuclear submarine USS Helena, with extended operations in the Western Pacific and Arabian Gulf during the first Gulf War.
Named Junior Officer of the Year in 1994, Schorr also received the Navy Achievement Medal for exceptional leadership. Fluent in German, Schorr holds a bachelor’s degree in economics from Wharton School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in systems engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, graduating summa cum laude. He also earned an MBA from Stanford University where he graduated as an Arjay Miller Scholar.
