Christopher A. Warlick, Ph.D. ('87) is currently pursuing a degree in medicine from the University of Minnesota Medical School. In 1999, he received a Ph.D. in Pathobiology from the University where he was a National Institute of Health's minority pre-doctoral fellow and graduate student in the Gene Therapy Program for the Institute of Human Genetics, Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology.

Warlick has published several articles and reports on human genetics and was the youngest presenter to address the American Society of Human Genetics (1990). He has been the recipient of numerous awards for his research in molecular hepatology and hematology and is involved in many charitable activities including the Athletes Committed to Educating Students (A.C.E.S.) and the Cedar-Riverside People's Medical Clinic.

In addition, Warlick serves in several capacities at the University of Minnesota, including student representative on the admissions committee for the combined M.D./Ph.D. program, recruiter for the medical school, and mentor to undergraduate students.
