Kudos to Williamsville Planetarium Director Mark Percy and North High Science Teacher Kim Preshoff on their article published in the March issue of the International Planetarium Society journal, The Planetarian, about an innovative lesson they developed to help students better understand solar insolation.

The project was made possible, in part, thanks to the Foundation’s mini-grant program which funded two portable lens used in the giant protractor lab they created.  

The Foundation has supported the District Planetarium over the years and in 2012-13, helped secure nearly $300,000 in funding to update technology and renovate the spacelab facility.
